This Privacy Policy describes how PromptTune ("we," "us," or "the site") handles information when you use this website. We've written it in plain English because legal documents don't have to be unreadable.

What data we collect

Prompt data

We collect none of it. All prompt processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your prompts are never sent to our servers (we don't have any), stored in a database, or transmitted anywhere. The only exception is that your last-entered prompt is saved to your browser's localStorage — so you don't lose it if you close the tab — but this data never leaves your device.

Personal information

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us via email. If you do email us, your email is stored in our email inbox like any normal correspondence.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as page view counts) to understand how many people are using the site. These analytics do not track individual users, do not record your prompts, and do not build profiles. If third-party analytics are used, they are governed by their own privacy policies.

Cookies

PromptTune uses cookies in the following ways:

• Preference cookies: We store your dark/light mode preference and cookie consent status in localStorage. These contain no personal information and are used purely for your convenience.
• Analytics cookies: If third-party analytics are enabled, these services may set cookies to count unique visitors. They do not track the content you enter on the site.
• Advertising cookies: This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ads Settings.

PromptTune is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
